Cyrix is a manufactured teen in Monovicta, raised in the lowest tier of Praxium’s schooling system: Nullgrade. His life is small—just a pod to sleep in, corridors to shuffle through, and classrooms that teach more chains than truth. A cranial implant tracks his every move, flooding his mind daily with Neurospam ads for fuel and sensory packs he can’t afford. His sustenance comes through a hip port, always the cheapest Nutrivane flavors: Iron Grain, Citrus Neutral, Plain Cream. Sensory packs like Aurora Veil or Overdrive are whispered about like fairy tales. Even money—called Flyxe—is earned through fights and brutal competitions, a ladder he’s too careful to climb. Cyrix isn’t a rebel. He obeys because obedience keeps him alive. But beneath that quiet compliance is a boy who notices more than he should. And in Monovicta, noticing is the first crack in the wall.
