Felicity D'Abano
An orphan become vampire, eager to wreak vengeance on humanity...
Felicity states she was left to die in the gutters as a sick orphaned child, an unspecified length of time prior to the events of the game. Peter D'Abano rescued her from death by turning her into a vampire, on the condition she help him with his experiments to enhance vampire-kind and enable them to remain dominant even as human technology evolved. Sometime around the early-to-mid 1800s, as part of D'Abano's project, Felicity located the remains of several ancient creatures, including the corpse of the godlike Mikinaak, and harvested their blood using modified leeches. Around this period, Felicity also used this blood to experiment on herself, leading to gradual physical and mental degeneration along with an addiction to the blood. Evil West Early in the game, Felicity and her father Peter are attempting to convince the ruling vampiric council that their research is necessary, and that vampires must strike against humanity before humanity's technology becomes too great. Their meeting is interrupted by Jesse Rentier and Edgar Gravenor, two hunters of the Rentier Institute, who decapitate her father and bring his still-living head to the institute. Felicity stages a rescue by hijacking an airship with an army of lesser vampires and crashing it into the institute during William Rentier's demonstration of a new gauntlet. Her attack kills several Rentier agents and gravely wounds William Rentier, infecting him with vampirism and gradually bringing him into her thrall. While searching for a cure, Jesse Rentier destroys the remains of the Mikinaak, depriving Felicity of the blood needed to continue her experiments. Eventually, despite Jesse Rentier and his comrades' efforts, William Rentier succumbs to his infection and fully transforms, fleeing the institute's temporary headquarters at Calico for Felicity's headquarters at the Persephone rail depot. Jesse pursues his father to the depot and kills him, then destroys the depot. By this point, Felicity has already left the depot with another army of lesser-vampires and several other highborns, headed for Washington DC in an attempt to convert the US president while he attends a premier at Chesterfield Opera House under light security. Meanwhile, after attacking the rail depot, Jesse locates a bank owned by Peter D'Abano through several shell companies, and raids the location. He finds D'Abano resting in a regenerative pool, placed there by Felicity. After interrogating him and learning of Felicity's plans, Jesse and his comrades head for Washington DC. Fighting his way through the burning opera house, Jesse manages to locate Felicity and confronts her. Felicity drops her glamour, revealing the monstrous form she has given herself through experimentation, and fights Jesse. After a grueling battle, Jesse succeeds in the battle. He uppercut the mutated Felicity with such force she breaks a hole in the ceiling, causing the sun to shine down directly on her. Because of this, she burns up and disintegrates, finally ending her reign of fear. Personality Felicity is megalomaniacal, unhinged, and completely focused on following in her adoptive father's footsteps out of loyalty and gratitude. Her experiences as an orphan prior to being rescued by Peter have given her a dim view of humanity and an inflated view of vampire-kind. She is focused pursuing vampiric enhancement, even though it flies in the face of vampire traditions. Appearance When hidden by vampiric glamour, Felicity normally appears as she originally did when she was human, as a blonde-haired girl of eleven or twelve with heterochromia. When Felicity fights, she drops the glamour and appears in her true form - a massive, mutated creature standing around a dozen feet tall that bears little resemblance to a normal vampire highborn. Powers and Abilities Immortality: Like all highborn vampires, Felicity does not appear to have aged since the day she was given the "Gift of Change". Superhuman Strength and Speed: Felicity has both supernatural strength and speed, which enable her to throw grown men several times heavier than herself and to move almost faster than a human can react. Modified transformation: While normal highborn vampires can transform into six-limbed humanoid bat-like creatures, Peter D'Abano's experiments on Felicity have given her a monstrous form devoid of wings, but able to move with extreme speed and generate enormous force with her punches. Turning bite: Like all vampires, Felicity can turn victims into Familiars with a bite. Thanks to her experiments, unlike most vampires she is able to bind victims to her will and grant them strange powers. Pyrokinesis: She is shown to be able to magically incinerate victims and objects by flicking her fingers.
